How to apply to Hong Kong universities?
Non-Jupas Application
The Non-JUPAS is an admissions pathway for students in Hong Kong who have completed their A-Level, IBDP or other international examinations. Students can directly apply to individual universities in Hong Kong for undergraduate programs. Non-jupas application system considers various criteria, including academic achievements, standardized test scores, personal statements, recommendation letters, and interviews.
Jupas Application
The JUPAS is the primary admissions pathway for local students in Hong Kong applying for undergraduate programs in participating universities. JUPAS provides a streamlined and centralized application process, allowing students to select up to 20 program choices across multiple institutions. This system considers students' HKDSE examination results, including core subjects and elective subjects, to determine eligibility for admission.
Mainland Gaokao
For Mainland China applicants wishing to study in Hong Kong, students can use their mainland Gaokao score to apply to various universities in Hong Kong. Some Hong Kong universities (such as HKU, HKUST) have their own admission portal while the others (CUHK and CityU) will accept applications through the National Colleges and Universities Enrolment System.
